A simple card, poster, picture, or painting made with pieces of paper, paint, crayons, glue, and scissors is all someone needs to lift their spirit up, give them hope and bring a smile on their faces.
That’s why children of members of the group called “Be the Change, NJ” at Kean University made and sent some very special cards, posters and paintings to welcome home all St. Joseph’s Residents who during COVID -19 pandemic were relocated to another senior facility for few weeks, and now returned back home to St. Joseph’s Senior Home.
These greeting cards are acts of kindness and care for all Seniors. In this difficult and distressing time, when residents are not able to see their loved ones, they are lonely and fearful of the unknown.
“This so heartwarming, and makes an enormous difference to our residents, these greetings cards really cheer them up!” said Sister Leila Braganza, Activity Director.

We want to express our gratitude to “Be the Change, NJ” group, especially Norma Bowe, Jennifer Sole Timinski, and all amazing children who made colorful cards, paintings and posters to welcome home the residents of St. Joseph’s Senior Home.
You truly brought smiles to residents, staff, and sisters at St. Joseph’s. Thank you!
