The month of November usually begins our journey into the season of memories of the past, present and yet to come.
The beginning of the month brings us the liturgical days of all souls and all saints where we honor those who gave their lives for our faith and those who have gone before us to eternal life after celebrating God in their lives.
We also gather memories of the secular type. Births, weddings, graduations, family dinners, decorations hung for holidays… all the things that brought joy and meaning to our daily lives.
St Joseph’s Senior Home celebrates the goodness of God and Life on a daily basis. However, we also celebrate the memories of those who have left our humble abode for the glory of Heaven, with a special recognition of the parts they have played in bringing joy to their families and our family here in Woodbridge.
We have enjoyed their presence at chapel, meals, crafts, singing, gardening and so much more.
They have laughed with us and cried with us and been there for all the ups and downs as families do. They have been in our hearts and minds and so remain.
As we welcome November and its periods of reflection, let us remember in pictures too the wonderful members of the St Joseph’s Family we have bid farewell this past years and pray for them and all of us that the times we have spent together, bring us peace and comfort in this wonderful season of memories.
Eternal Rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
Amen
In Loving Memory
“The ones we love never go away.
They walk beside us even on this day.
Unseen, unheard, yet always near.
Still loved, still missed
And very dear.”
