Palliative Care
General information
Comfort care is offered to all residents as the need arises. While physical healing may not occur, the focus becomes on emotional and spiritual healing for the resident and their loved ones.
It is designed to provide comfort and support to residents and families during the final stages of life. Comfort Care is about alleviating pain and managing of other symptoms.
Being on Comfort Care does not mean giving up hope or that death is imminent.
